Who we are

Black Box Site Design is owned by Neil Black. The site address is www.blackboxsitedesign.com. You can reach the studio at hello@blackboxsitedesign.com.

Contact form and quote wizard

If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, optional company, and the note you typed. The quote wizard also sends the project type, the budget band you selected, and the timeline you selected. The intake at /start keeps answers in this browser until you press Send. Sending uses this same route and includes the blueprint. We use that to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list from this form.

A hidden field labeled website is a honeypot. People do not see it. If it is filled in, we discard the submission. When email delivery is configured, the note is sent with Resend to the studio inbox. When it is not configured, the note is written to the server log instead. Either way, the page shows a confirmation rather than an error.

Rate limiting

The contact route may keep an IP address in memory for about ten minutes so the same address cannot submit endlessly. That list is not a database. It disappears when the server instance goes away. Hosting logs at Vercel can also include IP addresses as part of ordinary request logs.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-KMZJ7KD0Q5, for page views and for a lead event when a quote, contact, agentic-sites waitlist, or agentic intake form is submitted. The event records the form type: quote, contact, agentic waitlist, or agentic intake. It does not include your name, email, company, or message. Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and receives the page address, referrer, device, and approximate location. The waitlist and the intake use the same contact route. Neither takes payment. If a writing key is configured on the server, the intake may send a short version of the answers, without your name and email, to draft one homepage line. If it is not configured, that request stays on the rules already in the page.

On Vercel, the site also loads Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for page views and performance. These tools are not an advertising network, and we do not sell personal information. The personalization demo on this site reads the clock, the screen width, the language, and the referrer in your browser and does not upload them.

How long we keep a note

Inquiry email is kept as long as the conversation needs, then deleted from the inbox in the ordinary course of work. We do not run a separate marketing database for this site.
